How much does a home theatre cost in India?+
₹1.5–2.5 lakh for an installed 5.1, ₹4–8 lakh for a Dolby Atmos 5.1.4, and ₹12 lakh upward for a dedicated cinema room with acoustic treatment and laser projection.
What is the minimum room size for a home theatre?+
A 5.1 works in any normal living room. For a dedicated room with a proper 7.1.4 layout, 12 x 16 ft with a 9 ft ceiling is the practical minimum.
Is Dolby Atmos worth it?+
Yes — overhead channels are the single biggest step up in immersion since surround sound itself, provided your ceiling allows in-ceiling speakers or is flat enough for up-firing modules.
What is the minimum Dolby Atmos configuration?+
5.1.2 — five ear-level speakers, one subwoofer and two height channels. 5.1.4 is the configuration we recommend for a convincing overhead effect.
Soundbar or full home theatre?+
A premium soundbar suits small shared living rooms. Anything above roughly ₹1.2 lakh is better spent on a discrete 5.1, which will outperform any soundbar at the same price.
Which brand is best for home theatre in India?+
Klipsch and JBL for movie dynamics, KEF and Bowers & Wilkins for music transparency, Denon and Marantz for receivers, SVS for subwoofers, Sony and Epson for projection.
TV or projector for a home theatre?+
Projector for dark rooms and 100"+ images; premium TV for bright shared living rooms under 98". Many clients install both with a motorised drop-down screen.
How long does installation take?+
2–5 working days for a living-room system, 3–6 weeks for a dedicated room including civil and acoustic work.
Do I need acoustic treatment?+
In almost every Indian room, yes. Hard floors and glass create reflections that blur dialogue. Treatment is the highest audible return per rupee in the project.
How many speakers do I need?+
Five plus a subwoofer for 5.1; add two or four ceiling speakers for Atmos; add two rear surrounds for 7.1 if you have 1.5 m behind the seating.
What size subwoofer should I buy?+
A 10" sub suits rooms up to about 1,800 cu ft; 12" for larger rooms; dual subwoofers for even bass across multiple seats in any room above 2,500 cu ft.
Where should the subwoofer go?+
Use the crawl method — sub at the main seat, listen around the room perimeter, place it where bass is loudest and smoothest. Corners give output but often unevenness.
Can I add Atmos to my existing 5.1 system?+
Yes, if your receiver has spare channels. Add two or four ceiling speakers, or up-firing modules if the ceiling cannot be cut.
Do I need a separate power amplifier?+
Only for demanding 4-ohm speakers, large rooms, or layouts beyond 7.1.4. A good 9-channel receiver covers most homes comfortably.
What is room correction and do I need it?+
Software (Audyssey XT32, Dirac Live, YPAO) that measures the room and corrects response. Yes — it is one of the most audible features on any modern receiver.
How often should I recalibrate?+
After any equipment or layout change, and otherwise every 2–3 years as furnishings and room contents drift.
Are wireless speakers good for home theatre?+
Wireless subwoofer links are reliable. Fully wireless surround systems still trade away timing precision and dynamic range compared with wired speakers, so we use them only where wiring is impossible.
What warranty do I get?+
Full manufacturer India warranty on every product, registered in your name — typically 2–5 years on speakers and 1–2 years on electronics — plus our own workmanship support.
Do you provide AMC?+
Yes. Annual maintenance covers periodic inspection, filter cleaning, firmware updates, re-calibration and priority response.
Can you work with my interior designer?+
Yes, and it produces a much better result. Involving us before false-ceiling and electrical drawings are frozen lets us conceal every cable and speaker properly.
Do you install outside Hyderabad and Vijayawada?+
Yes — Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Warangal, Tirupati, Khammam, Karimnagar, Eluru, Ongole and across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Can I audition before buying?+
Yes. Our Ameerpet (Hyderabad) and Kanuru (Vijayawada) experience centres run full Dolby Atmos demos. Bring your own content if you like.
Is grey-market equipment cheaper?+
It is, and it carries no India warranty, no service support and often no firmware updates. We supply only authorised, invoiced, warranty-registered stock.
Can a home theatre be integrated with home automation?+
Yes — one 'Movie' scene can dim lights, close curtains, drop the screen, power the projector and set the AVR input and volume.
What is the first step to getting started?+
A free on-site survey. We measure the room, discuss how you actually watch, and send an itemised design proposal with three budget options.
